Great Fix! Thanks!

This fix made me kind of nervous, but I took my time and got it done. The seal fit perfect all the way around. I like the idea of the aluminum plate there too. Thank for making my fix a lot less expensive!!!

800 crank seal

Seal works but has to open crankshaft hole in the retaining bracket sent. Hole was not big enough to light all bolts up without rubbing on crankshaft.

R r 800 s crank seal upgrade

So far it has worked as expected. Only have put12 hrs on so far. Old seal came out after a 1/2 hr of work on it. Need to get more hors on it before rating how well it works. Other than that removal and installation was a breeze.

I've only had this seal installed for a week now. But if it holds it will have saved tons of money and the ease of replacement using Warranty killer VS OEM is night and day. I'm very happy I youtubed the changeout procedure and found out about warranty killer. So far its great!

Works as should

Worked exactly how it’s supposed to. Hardest part was getting the old one out. Perfect fit, no leaks or any problems so far after a couple rides.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • So when I buy this kit, will I take the old seal out and replace with new seal? Or do I just need the aluminum ring?

We do recommend replacing the seal with our premium oil seal however, plently of people just purchase the aluminum ring without any problems.

  • Can the aluminum ring/shield be installed over the factory seal as a preventative measure? How is the ring held in place?

Yes sir we encourage this as preventative maintence, The ring is interfernce fit to the case tightly we also mark the billet cover as to where to apply silicone of choice or rtv a very thin line for those choosing to snorkel there sxs.

  • Do you have to split the factory cases?

No, this allows for installation without splitting the factory cases.

  • I know your specs address the Ranger 800. I’m hoping someone has had success using this crank seal upgrade kit on a 700? I have a 2007 Ranger 700 XP EFI and I REALLY don’t want to pull the engine/split the case. Thank you for any help!

Hey Toby, Yes sir that kit will work for your unit. I just confirmed OEM part # and physical size to our kit.

  • I got in a hurry and mistakenly installed my seal backwards on my 2008 ranger 700. Any good way to get it out? Can I run it like that?

Josh, unfortunaltely you wont be able to run it like that because the lip is beveled and it wont work if the bevel is facing the wrong direction. As far as I know, there is no good way to get that seal out without damaging it.

  • The factory seal as I see it, has a flange on it preventing it’s removal. Is this correct? Looking at your installation instructions it doesn’t say how to get the old seal out with this flange. Do I have to split the crankcase for the first seal install. After your seal is installed I can see where you would never have to split the case to replace again

Hey Steve, you do not have to split the cases to remove the factory seal. We have a seal puller that does a great job of getting in the so you can hook it and pull out the OEM seal. Here is a link to that seal puller: https://www.warrantykillerperformance.com/collections/yamaha-yxz-1000r/products/seal-puller?_pos=1&_sid=8fc4c532f&_ss=r

  • Will this fit a 2009 Polaris RANGER 4X4 700 EFI CREW? They show a OEM part # 5412676.

Hi there, this seal will fit your unit, however I am not certain about whether the metal plate will fit your unit or not and do not have that particualr casing here to test it out on. If you want to take the safe bet, you can purchase just the seal instead of the seal/plate kit.

  • What’s the measurements of the seal? Will it fit a 2004 sportsman 700 efi

This will not fit that unit. We can get you the correct seal for that unit though, it would probably run around $25-$30 for the OEM seal. Shoot us an email at sales@warrantykillerperformance.com if you'd like us to get that for you.

  • This part works on 2012 polariz rzr 800s?

    Yes it does.

  • if i order the oil seal kit today, will it ship and arrive in minnesota at least by the 26th of june thanks.

It will ship out today if you order by 3pm CST (less than 2 hours). USPS Priority Mail is usually only 2-4 business days to anywhere in USA.

  • does the aluminum ring that comes with the seal work and fit my 2007 sportsman 800 EFI thanks.

    Yes sir it will

  • i just want to be sure that the retaining ring for the oil seal in the kit part# wkp-csk2 will fit my 2007 sportsman 800 EFI.

    Yes sir it will

  • will this kit also work for my 2007 sportsman 800 EFI? thanks

The OEM part number 5412676 is showing to be the same on your 2007 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI. The seal should work fine on your machine as well.

  • I see it says this seal kit will fit a polaris razor or ranger will it fit a 14 sportsman 800 and if it will work can I remove the old seal without spliting case

Yes sir it will fit- We've had a customer with a 2007 Sportsman 800 in the past use this kit on their bike. And you do not have to split the case to remove old seal or install this new kit.

  • THE 2007 RANGER 700 HAS THE SAME SEAL. THIS SHOULD FIT, RIGHT?

If your part number matches the OEM seal it should fit. 👍

  • https://www.warrantykillerperformance.com/search?type=product&q=Csk2 This says on sale but it still tries to switch the price to the reg price of $99. Call me at+14802744098 please

Hello William, we appreciate you for bringing this to our attention. However, our website pulls the lowest price from each product and when there is a product with several variants or different options it states "from" since the price may vary from picking different options. It looks like the seal itself is only $30.99 and the kit itself is $99.99. Our web team will look into fixing that issue and adjust it where needed. At this time we are unable to override the kit itself price to $30.99 since it appears to be a glitch with our website. However, if you would like we can include a free Seal Puller with your order. If you would like to accept that offer please email our team or forward this message to: sales@warrantykillerperformance.com

  • Will this work on a 2007 sportsman 800? Thanks!

    Yes sir it will.

  • Will this seal kit Part No: WKP-CSK2 Related: 5412676 work on a 2010 Polaris Ranger XP 800? All as the description says is 800 so I want to make sure. Thanks, Mitch

Yes, it will fit all Polaris 800 models. :)

  • How do you remove old seal?

Checkout our Installation Guide under our "Downloads" tab for step by step instructions.
As well as the tool in the link below.

    https://www.warrantykillerperformance.com/products/seal-puller

  • It doesn't specify which way the seal goes in. Not even in the instructions.

Hey Jacob, Oil seals always face numbers / flatt side out or concave / spring side in.

  • Am installing the crankshaft seal update that I purchased and am curious as to which way the new seal should be installed. Recessed side in toward crank bearing with flush side facing out, or flush side in?

The new seal should sit flush against the case. Please look at our "Installation Guide" for instructions.

  • Will this fit a 2002 polaris sportsman 700 ?

Hey Sebastian, all fitment for producst are under the fitment tab.

  • Will this fit a 2002 polsris sportsman 700

    No sir.
