Polaris Crank Seal Kits

Leaking oil in your belt box?

There is a great chance your crank seal is leaking oil.

Why does the seal leak oil?

There are several reasons, the primary being -- it is a wear item. Wear items are just that, over time they will wear down and will need replacing. Regular maintenance can help prolong the life of the oil seal. Secondly, the belt may shred or break and wrap around the crankshaft and damage that seal.

How do I fix a leaky crank seal?

You have two options:

  • Purchase our crank seal upgrade kit without having to remove the engine or split any cases (Polaris 800 kit or 900/1000 kit)
  • Pull the engine, split the engine, remove and replace the seal

Why does it take so long to remove the OEM crank seal?

From the factory Polaris installed seals which had a lip on them. The lip is on the inside of the engine cases to prevent them from essentially "falling out" of the engine. The design was flawed because the only way to replace the seal with an OEM seal is to completely remove the engine, split the cases, remove the old seal and install the new seal. Some do-it-yourselfers are able to get this done but the majority would have to leave their UTVs with the dealer to complete this task. Not only is this labor intensive, it is NOT covered under your Polaris warranty and will cost several hundred, if not a thousand or more dollars to fix -- all for one seal. Now you can understand why we created a more cost effective option.

What is so special about our WKP Polaris Crank Seal Upgrade Kits?

Our kit is designed to install without having to remove the engine or split the cases which saves you time and money! In 2015 Warranty Killer Performance created the very first WKP Polaris 900/1000 Crank Seal Upgrade Kit. The original model had a lipless oil seal and aluminum ring to protect the oil seal. Our current model has a lipless premium oil seal and precision cut aluminum ring to fit all Polaris 900/1000 models including Turbos! Detailed instructions are included with every kit and you can even purchase an extra seal and seal puller on our website.

Do you make them for other Polaris models?

Currently we only offer two:
